A Venice Beach Sunset Engagement

Ok y’all! I don’t even know where to begin with this one. This Venice Beach engagement session was definitely near and dear to my heart. My BEST FRIEND is getting married y’all! I’m so excited to share this blog post with you!

So let me start off by saying that Sky is SO HARD to surprise. She HAS to know what is going on and when, a time frame, etc. So when Jonathan messaged me and asked about shooting the proposal I knew it wouldn’t be an easy task. And on top of that, she is my best friend of many years. So I am horrible at keeping stuff from her but somehow I managed to not say a word. Jonathan & I agreed to tell her that for their anniversary, I was doing their pictures. (because she has been asking like EVERY DAY for months now)

The next task was deciding on cue to give Jonathan time to get the ring out without Sky noticing. So I told Sky to come look at some of the pictures I took. (Since she is also a photographer and we always stop each other in mid-shoot to look back on photos) Once she turned around to head back to Jonathan, he was down on one knee with the ring out.

Sky, being Sky, did not answer with a “yes”. But with a question…
“Did you ask my dad?”

Congrats to you two & the boys! Enjoy this time & soak it all in!

I can’t believe my best friend is getting married! It seems like just yesterday we were in middle schoolers sneaking out of windows in the middle of the night! I’m so excited for the whole process. I cannot wait until next Spring to celebrate with y’all!
